Iggy Morris is a 20 something visual artist who focuses on the whimsy and wonder of the macabre and fantastical. Born and raised on Long Island NY, Iggy has found themselves a resident of many states along the eastern US. They enjoy crocheting, video games, and tabletop role play games. In 2021, They graduated with a bachelors in Graphic Illustration though their true passion has always lied within comics and animation. The Sagittarian is a known author of comics such as Stars Burn Out, Opaque Intentions, and their newest work for the We Belong Anthology; Mushrooms Grew From Their Hands.While some of Iggys biggest inspirations are niche, they found a loving sentiment towards them. Properties such as The Labyrinth, Never Ending Story, and Scooby Doo heavily influenced this young artists work. They current find inspiration in mutual artists across many platforms and in various books. A reader to their core, Iggy finds himself now inspired by the wave of amazing gothic, horror, and fantasy literature written by fellow POC. While their artistic style is inclined to have more detail they consider it to be a hybrid of comic styles and late 80s to early 90s animation, with a slight anime influence. Over their nearly 20 year artistic journey, Iggy has utilized a vast catalog of materials and tools to create their work. Currently, they enjoy using an XP Pen Artist Pro 24, Clip Studio Paint, a variety of alcohol markers, inks, and colored pencils.At the moment, Iggy is taking on clients for freelance and contract work. Some clients include Jesse Cox, and The Carousel Predicament. Iggy has also worked with publishers such as Stacked Deck Press, and various Zines such as Resurrection. With a broad spectrum of work under their belt, Iggy is ready for their next adventure!
